Tohru Matsushita
Tohru Matsushita applies chemical paints to cars and canvases, causing cracks to appear on their surface. Shunning traditional method of painting that use brushes, Matsushita strives to obtain accidental effects caused by this cracking - in other words, the erasure of his intention and ideas as an author, and the "painting" of the phenomenon that occurs as a result of his actions.

Influenced by traditional Japanese arts, such as the golden folding screens that demonstrate a respect for nature by shifting color as they absorb external light within them, and Ido bowls that change in appearance according to the liquid solutions they contain, Matsushita is also familiar with street art, drawing inspiration from contemporary street culture when he paints using spray cans and stencils.
