Hanayo + NO IDEA ”von Rindern und Schweinen?”

This year, Germany and Japan celebrate the 150th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. “Wir Kinder von UENO ZOO”, organized by Hanayo, an artist based between Tokyo and Berlin and a good friend here at Vacant, is a month long program of celebrations with collaborative projects between German artists and alternative spaces in Tokyo. The projects aims to promote a new generation of German artists by creating site-specific projects with alternative spaces in Tokyo that will strengthen mutual understanding between the two different countries.

Hanayo hopes that the project will extend beyond this year's framework and continue to develop year after year. There are many exciting events happening every night throughout November. The highlight is a one-night-only dinner party!
