Yukinori Maeda
Yukinori Maeda's previous work borrowed elements from shamanism, animism and other primitive modes of thought and mystical philosophy, transforming his own personal experiences into works of sculpture, lighting and sound devices linked to different wavelengths of light. Maeda's practice focuses on "encounters" with light, and an attempt to create mystical spaces that store and accumulate light. This exhibition showcases a new installation made up of sculptures, videos and photos that evoke the process by which this originary element envelops and embraces us.
