Daisuke Kato Exhibition

LIXIL Gallery 1 & 2
Finished

Artists

Daisuke Kato
Daisuke Kato creates life-sized sculptures of girls wearing animal masks. Meticulously and realistically crafted using a dry lacquer technique that was traditionally employed to make Buddhist sculptures, these works radiate a palpable presence while also conveying a sense of fleeting insubstantiality (due to their hollow interiors). This exhibition showcases 5 of Kato's new works.
