Artists

Junzo Ishiko
Junzo Ishiko (1928-77) was an art critic whose gaze extended beyond the purview of fine art to cover manga, theater, stage arts, popular entertainment, and various other odds and ends of the cultural spectrum. This exhibition is an attempt to cast new light on Japanese art of the 1960s and 70s through Ishiko's eyes.
