Kohei Nawa
Solo exhibition of work by Kohei Nawa (b. 1975), an artist who develops sculpture and spatial expressions utilizing the concept of the "cell". Nawa uses fluid materials and media such as beads, prisms, expanded polyurethane and silicone oil as metaphors for the senses and thoughts of our information society, creating equivocal expressions of the reality of the body, perception, and a sensitivity that wavers between digital and analog.

In addition to his work in a variety of series and categories - "Beads", "Prism", "Liquid", "Glue", "Scum", "Drawing" and more - Nawa is also active and recognized at an international level, collaborating with creators in the fields of music, fashion and product design, as well as producing public art through team projects. This exhibition will explore the origins and boundaries of Nawa's synthetic interface - the interface that connects the senses with materials and our "skin", while simultaneously pondering potential approaches to future work.
