Hideki Kuwajima's previous solo shows at Roentgenwerke, Tokyo consisted of massive, densely packed canvases that overwhelmed the viewer, prompting comparisons to temples or shrines consecrated to the gods, or the arabesques of a Buddhist mandala. Kuwajima has also produced a series of "light" sculptures made out of glass, commissioned in 2008 by Maison Hermes. This exhibition showcases a selection of all these previous works that look back on the past 7 years of Kuwajima's career.
