"Natural History Atlas and Digital Archive Ⅲ" Exhibition

Large illustrated atlases covering a range of topics that could not be classified under the domain of art history, such as zoology, botany, geography, folklore, mythology and anatomy, began to be published in 18th century Europe. These atlases featured an array of multicolored copper engravings and lithographs produced using the latest and most advanced printing technologies of the time. This exhibition features a range of these atlases and other visual materials from the collection of Hiroshi Aramata.
