The KAITEKI Institute, Inc. a member of the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation (MCHC) Group, is pleased to present ‘KAITEKI: Chemical Reactions between Technology and Art’.

Through their technology and products, the MCHC Group strives to contribute to building a healthy, safe, and a more comfortable – i.e. KAITEKI – world, and while respecting the limit to our natural resources, to develop the Group in a sustainable way.

Confronted with the need to rebuild and revitalize Japan in the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake, we believe the KAITEKI values advocated by the MCHC Group will have greater and greater importance.

At ‘KAITEKI: Chemical Reactions between Technology and Art’, the MCHC Group’s myriad materials and technologies unite with the rich imaginations of multitalented artists to give form to a great variety of works ranging in discipline from painting, sculpture and installation to fashion and food. We view this exhibition as an opportunity to cultivate a deeper understanding of the MCHC Group’s activities and of what ‘KAITEKI’ means and can be.
