This exhibition showcases a series of new landscape photographs by Yoko Asakai, who participated in an artist residency program in Aomori this past summer, exploring the prefecture by car and on foot. Although these works create a strikingly different impression to her portraits, what is common to both is a sense of having captured the experience of waiting for a particular phenomenon or event to occur at a specific place.
Also scheduled: a discussion with photographer Katsumi Omori.
