Creator-in-Residence, a residency program targeting creative people in all parts of the world engaged in such fields as art, design, music and architecture, has been happening since 2006. Every year, a total of about one hundred artists from Japan and abroad stay and work in the Aoyama area, a melting pot of fashion and creative people in the heart of Tokyo.

The "Tokyo Story" exhibition will be held at all TWS facilities in Shibuya as a presentation of works created during the residency program between April 2010 and March 2011.

Tokyo Wonder Site Shibuya will present an exhibition by its resident artists, including Carsten Nicolai and Ei Arakawa. The Hongo branch will feature works by creators who participated in TWS's Jenesys Program for East Asian artists, while TWS Aoyama will showcase work by international creators who visited Japan at the invitation of its artist-in-residence program.
