"Photographs of Children: The Art of Photographing Children" Exhibition

Tokyo Photographic Art Museum
Finished

Artists

Renjo Shimoka, Julia Margaret Cameron, Harold Eugene Edgerton, Jonas Mekas, Suizain Kurokawa et al.
When photography was first invented in the 19th century, the existing daguerrotype technology was incapable of capturing instantaneous moments, with the result that children who constantly fidgeted always appeared in the photo as a blur. This exhibition introduces viewers to techniques that a handful of professional photographers employed at the time to photograph children. There will also be a hands-on corner for families and kids to have their picture taken.
