Alejandro Aravena "The Forces in Architecture"

TOTO Gallery Ma
Finished

Artists

Alejandro Aravena
Based in Santiago, Chile, where he is principal of the Elemental architecture office, Alejandro Aravena is an architect whose wide-ranging portfolio includes the Siamese Towers at the San Joaquin Universidad Catolica in Santiago, art museums, individual residences and apartment buildings.

This is Aravena's first solo show in Japan and Asia, featuring an installation of balloons in the internal courtyard that hover above the floor, another made out of low-cost but sturdy packaging materials, and various products including Chairless, Aravena's ultra-minimalist take on a tool for sitting.
