"Shibuya Utopia 1900–1945" Exhibition

This exhibition focuses on the artist colonies like the "Ikebukuro Montparnasse", Ochiai "literary village" and others
that gathered in Yoyogi, Ebisu and Harajuku. On display are oil paintings, nihonga, sculptures, prints, poetry manuscripts, letters, posters and more by artists and creatives who lived in Shibuya from the late 19th century through the pre-WWII era, as well as works that depict Shibuya as a sort of artistic utopia.
