Henry Darger "American Innocence"

Laforet Museum Harajuku
Finished

Artists

Henry Darger
Henry Darger lived a solitary life without friends or family. He went back to his lonely existence and risked his life to record much of what happened to him in his visionary "In the Realm of the Unreal".

This exhibition is based on the latest research and attempts to clarify the relationship between Darger the man, and his fictional "In the Realm of the Unreal". Divided into 5 sections, it includes 64 prints from "In the Realm of the Unreal", as well as 6 works left after his death that are being displayed for the first time in Japan.
