"What Can I Do? – Think Together with 3331"

3331 Arts Chiyoda
Finished
The Tohoku earthquake has caused unprecedented devastation. It is our first hope that all those who have been affected by this natural disaster will make a speedy recovery.

At 3331 we held an emergency open meeting on March 16th entitled "What we can do now!", bringing together over 60 participants, including associates of 3331 and the general public.

At this meeting many were of the opinion that 3331 should create a platform mediating between the affected areas and creative practitioners. Furthermore it was expressed that support should not just be short term, but should instead be approached from a long-term perspective of 5 or 10 years.

As a more immediate response, 3331 will open up an art action group that has been established in response to this situation, and provide the opportunity to learn more about their activities. Furthermore, a charity art auction/sale will be held to raise funds for organizations offering aid to those affected by the quake. 3331's commissioned artist Katsuhiko Hibino will also facilitate the "Heart Mark❤Viewing" workshop, designed to give encouragement to those in the affected areas.
