Artists

Yoshinobu Nakagawa
Born in Osaka in 1964, Yoshinobu Nakagawa now resides in Shiga prefecture. Ever since his first one-person show in 1987, the year he graduated from Osaka University of Art, Nakagawa's motif has been consistently plants or the relationship between plants (nature) and human beings (farmers), or agriculture and cultivation, which is a fundamental activity to us. He displays a free mastery of every kind of material, and the poetic emotions that spring from the naive form of his work have won him many fans. This is his sixth show at taguchi fine art, ltd.

On view at this exhibition is his serial work entitled "Seed on the Table", which the artist regards as a drawing. Works from around 1995 that have not previously been exhibited will be displayed together with recent and new works.
