The Ueno Royal Museum Grand Prize Exhibition was established in 1983 as a public exhibition for commending and assisting artists rich in individuality and possibilities. This 29th edition saw 1516 entries from 969 artists, from which 249 were selected, including the 6 prize-winning pieces. This exhibition introduces winning and nominated works, plus recent works from the jury members.
