Akiyoshi Mishima
For Akiyoshi Mishima, "hierarchy" refers to all the interior layers of oneself that emerge out of one's varied experiences. The decision making that unravels according to these accumulated life experiences and choices is the process by which one's ego is constituted, and the evolution of these composite human assemblages is what shapes the world in turn.

This exhibition showcases an installation of painted aluminum sculptures that attempts to express the web of mutual relationships and correlations within a society made up of these individual assemblages of identity and experience.
