Artists

Kazuo Mori
This year marks the centenary of the birth of filmmaker Kazuo Mori (1911-1989). After working for Nikkatsu, Mori left to join Shinko Kinema together with future Daiei president Masakazu Nagata. He subsequently went on to a prolific career directing lighthearted comedies for both Shinko and Daiei, helping to usher in a golden age for Japanese film.

This special commemorative program looks back on the career of a great cinema artist through a showcase of some 33 films. See website for more details.
