Fumiko Takai
Born in Kanagawa in 1982, Fumiko Takai is currently a doctoral candidate in the oil painting department of Tokyo University of the Arts. Takai's paintings and still lifes make use of variations of light and shade to conjure ephemeral landscapes that are painted through a process close to automatism.
