Researchers at the Tokyo University of the Arts have been experimenting with ancient techniques of copying and reproduction since the era of Taikan Yokoyama. On display at this exhibition are works by young contemporary nihonga painters that attempt to recreate scenes from the legendary picture scroll masterpiece "The Tale of Genji".
