This exhibition showcases a series of objects made out of "shiritori okimono" clay, as well as a selection of black and white pencil drawings displayed on the walls of the gallery. Although Ito's previous works have consisted mostly of embroidered patterns on cloth, animations and small sculptures, this show represents a step in a new direction.
This year, Ito will also be exhibiting at a group show at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei, the "Cafe in Mito 2011" exhibition at Art Tower Mito, and The National Museum of Art, Osaka.
