Beat Takeshi Kitano
Beat Takeshi (Takeshi Kitano)'s much talked about solo exhibition held at the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain in the spring of 2010 now makes a triumphant return to Japan.

In addition to paintings, the exhibition features colourful "animal vases" made in Venice, large-scale objects, installations with visitor participation—all works that displayed his novel creativity and strange sense of humor. He often describes himself as " the painter's kid," and says that the palette of those color-filled works "was the influence of my father's job as a house painter."
