"End of war in the decade of the 2010s" Exhibition

Artists

Shusuke Ao, Kazuki Umezawa, Taihei Kimura, Ishu Han, Shino Yanai, Takao Hiyama
As suggested by Hiroshi Kainuma in his "Fukushima-ron", this exhibition inquiries into the relationship of 3.11 and post-war Japanese art. It features the paintings of Takao Hiyama, an artist who fought in the Pacific War before being imprisoned in Siberia and then transferred by the Soviet authorities to a Chinese war crimes holding facility, as well as the post-3.11 artworks of five younger artists born in the Eighties, when memory of the war had faded.
