Galerie Tamenaga
Finished

Artists

Maurice Utrillo
In 1967, Mr. Kiyoshi Tamenaga, with the assistance of the Mainichi Newspaper, organized the first retrospective exhibition of Maurice Utrillo held in Japan. Mr. Tamenaga assembled nearly 150 exquisite works by the artist from numerous art museums and collectors around the world. For the exhibition, Mr. Tamenaga received generous support from Mr. Paul Petrides, a world authority on Utrillo’s work, with whom Mr. Tamenaga developed a close relationship over the years. It is indeed this relationship that ensured the great success of the exhibition.
