Masaya Hashimoto
To commemorate publication of the book Seeds Unhusked (Kara no nai tane, published by Monde Books, 2012), London Gallery is planning an exhibition of works by contemporary artist Hashimoto Masaya. It will be an exciting opportunity to see his art displayed with the London Gallery's more traditional works.

Hashimoto uses the horns and bones of animals to create delicately carved sculptural works. Motivated by the realization that these horns and bones were once part of a living being, he has worked hard over recent years to grapple with the concept. Using the bones of a single deer to their fullest, he has brought them back to life in the forms of the carved flowers that will be on display. The quiet blossoming of these works represent the ongoing dialogue that Hashimoto has had with the material he has chosen to work with. It would bring us great pleasure to have his work viewed by a large audience, and invite you all to come and have a look.
