Artists

Jianping He
In 1997, Jianping He moved to Germany and studied at Berlin University of Arts. Since then, he has been based in both Hangzhou and Berlin and has actively played an important part as a bridge between Europe and Asia. He has also been traveling around the world, communicating and discussing with designers of the same generation, absorbing knowledge of various design style and expression, while gaining borderless global perspective. He is highly acclaimed internationally, and it can be said that he is one of the most noteworthy young up-and-coming graphic designers in the world.

Jianping He’s work possesses the conceptual sensibility of Europe, together with signs of an Asian touch. In his work he combines photography and typography, which turns out to be radical, strong, and beautifully expressed visual language, overflowing with deep contemplation. This exhibition will 'flashback’ over his 15-year career, introducing more than 50 posters and book designs. “ggg Books-101 Jianping He” will also be published in tandem with the show.
