Mineki Murata
Mineki Murata was born in Gunma in 1979 and graduated from Tama Art University in 2005. Since then he has been giving unique performances at various exhibitions and events throughout Japan, including the inaugural Aichi Triennale in 2010. Using his own body as a medium, Murata's performances consist of actions repeated again and again in relation to other objects. Previous performances involved making ballpoint drawings on dictionaries and photocopying paper, or using crayons to scrawl over a white dress shirt that he was wearing.
For this exhibition, Murata will give performance every day throughout the duration of the exhibition.
