This event has ended.

This exhibition looks back on the career of the 18th century Kyoto painter Shohaku Soga (1730-1781) with a showcase of 44 screen paintings from the collection of the Mie Prefectural Art Museum that have been newly restored. In addition, works by several masters under whom Shohaku is thought to have studied, and other Kyoto-based artists from the mid-Edo period, such as Okyo Maruyama and Jakuchu Ito, are also on display. This will be the first Shohaku show in the Tokyo area to be held since 1998.
