"I Love Art 12: The Angel of History" Exhibition

Watari-um, The Watari Museum of Contemporary Art
Finished

Artists

Diane Arbus, August Sander, René Magritte, Man Ray et al.
Photography is a tool for recovering the overlooked gaps that the historians have neglected, instants that are further subdivided into smaller instants, and fictions that are transformed into emptier fictions. This exhibition, inspired by a series of photographic theories that art, photography and architecture critic Koji Taki wrote for the museum in 1997, features some 70 photos divided into 7 sections, by artists such as Diane Arbus and August Sander.
