Shell Art Award

The National Art Center, Tokyo
Finished
The Shell Art Award is a stepping stone for success for young artists. This exhibition features 52 winning artworks entered for the 2012 prize.

The Grand Prix this year has been awarded to Yoko Yokokawa for "Picnic", which portrays the atmosphere of the eponymous gathering and its mingling of the innocent and the not so innocent.

In addition to this year's entries, there is also the newly created Shell Art Award Artist Selection, which introduces new work by four previous selected winners.
