Artists

Kyohei Sakaguchi
Kyohei Sakaguchi is known for his research on "zero yen" houses built by people who live on the streets, mobile houses, and an architecture based on "not-building". After the disasters of March 11, 2011, he declared himself the president of a new government based in Kagoshima, and opened a shelter to welcome refugees and those evacuating the Tohoku area.

The first half of this show, which runs November 17th through December 7th, will feature his early drawings of urban environments, zero yen houses and videos. The second half, which runs December 8th through February 3rd, will attempt to create an installation that visualizes the ideas behind his new government.
