Fumiaki Akahane, Ryuichiro Otake
Akahane Fumiaki (born 1984, Nagano prefecture) and Otake Ryuichiro (born 1983, Toyama prefecture) are both graduates from Musashino Art University. This exhibition presents their past works under the shared statement: "As Bob Dylan moved from the accoustic to electric guitar, we are not afraid of change." They face their own past works in attempt to continue changing and evolving as artists.
Concurrently, Akahane and Otake's latest works will also be exhibited at island MEDIUM, also in Arts Chiyoda 3331, under the title "Home Alone". Seen together, the two exhibitions will show how their works have changed from the "accoustic" to the "electric".
