This event has ended.

The Whitworth Art Gallery, located in The University of Manchester in Britain, mainly houses modern art works. Above all, this collection of more than 4,500 British watercolors and drawings is globally famous and highly regarded.

This exhibition introduces the works of Turner and many other artists representing the watercolor world in Britain.

The exhibition also features Pre-Raphaelite artists such as Rossetti, Millais, Hunt, and Burne-Jones, who are well-known in Japan as well. The heyday of English watercolors, filled with an elegance and tenderness through subtle and delicate colors, will be introduced through approximately 150 watercolors and other works by great artists in Britain during the period spanning the 18th to 19th century.

ヘンリー・ブライト《迫りくる嵐、ヤーマス海岸、ノーフォーク》額を外して見たい。他はジョン・ラスキン、サミュエル・プラウト。ターナー充実。おすすめできる展覧会。
