eitoeiko is pleased to announce the exhibition ‘Forgetting the new world seen a while ago, and the moment of seeing again’ by Junta Egawa. SInce the disaster, Egawa's works have become more intimate, closing the distance between them and the viewer.

‘A work should not be made too interesting’, Egawa said. What he means is that there is no transient essence in artworks that have been loved by people for a long time. The artist who found himself lost in abstraction answered a clear call to move towards unexplored colors and compositions, and has attempted to reach towards materialization. In other words, Egawa attempts to construct another present through classical methods.
