This year, the Dentsu Advertising Awards celebrate their 65th anniversary. With the objective of promoting and improving the standard of advertising activities in Japan, the Dentsu Advertising Awards were launched in 1947, the year Hideo Yoshida became the 4th president of Dentsu, as the first advertising awards in this country. Not only were these Awards the first, but they were also the only integrated advertising awards, extensively covering all media. Over the years, the Awards have established a strong presence and are regarded as one of the most coveted commendations. As advertising is closely related to our daily lives, it influences various facets of our activities. It is also a mirror reflecting movements of the society in each period.
