Takeda Art Co. is pleased to announce our up-coming exhibition titled “Minimalism and Monochrome”. We will present 20 works by Donald Judd as a minimalist, Lee U-Fan and Kishio Suga as artists of Mono-ha (Mono school). By a curious coincidence, Mono-ha in Japan, Minimalism in America, and Arte Povera in Italy started to become active around the same time between the 1960s and 1970s. These artists abandon colorful expressions and show the materials themselves. In other words, they present “mono” or materials as they are in artistic expressions.
