The ancient tombs and mounds at Kokuri, North Korea, which include vestiges of the Goguryeo dynasty that flourished starting in the 1st century BC, have been designated a world heritage site by UNESCO. Its mural paintings reflect the lifestyles and customs of the time and depict the spiritual world of ancient East Asia. This exhibition showcases photos of human portraits from the Okutori tombs, works depicting deities from Kosandon, and other materials.
