The work of Miki Kubota suggests the new possibilities of contemporary sculpture with its high originality and strength of presence. In recent years the artist has produced a volume of paper based works, the collection of which makes up the main body of this exhibition. While caught in the paradox of making the 2D into 3D, the work here is both symbolic, figurative and a record of an action.
