Following the history of Kyoto’s metallic sieves, which can be traced back to the Heian period, highlighting their key role in Kyoto cuisine from tea straining and tofu making to toasting mochi. This exhibition places a spotlight not merely on their functionality but also their aesthetic sensibility.
