In commemoration of the centenary of the birth of one of Japan’s leading photographers Shoji Ueda(1913-2000) this exhibition reflects on the career of this great artist who spent his life working in the Sanin district and his unique technique of photography. With an array of 150 works this retrospective searches out Ueda’s original approach to photography and offers a new insight into the context and creative process of this revered artist.

Hours	10:00-18:00 Fridays closing at 20:00
Closed	Monday Open on a public holiday Monday but closed on the following day. Closed during the New Year holidays and in between exhibitions.

Adults ￥900, University and High School Students ￥700, Junior High and Elementary School Students ￥400, ￥100 discount for those with a disability certificate + 1 assistant
