In commemoration of the centenary of the birth of one of Japan’s leading photographers Shoji Ueda(1913-2000) this exhibition reflects on the career of this great artist who spent his life working in the Sanin district and his unique technique of photography. With an array of 150 works this retrospective searches out Ueda’s original approach to photography and offers a new insight into the context and creative process of this revered artist.
