This exhibition has evolved through the conversations between Probst and Hirakawa, in which they uncovered new aspects of Tokyo which had until now lain unconscious. Their various paintings of the Tokyo streets provide an insight into the many graduations of contemporary Japan and the wider world. As the title suggests Tokyo exists in many different forms, and may be defined and interpreted in numerous ways, as revealed through the work of these two artists.
