The town of Ishinomaki in Miyagi Prefecture has a booming wetsuit industry featuring the company Mobby Dick, which boasts the highest share of the Japanese marine sports wetsuit market. This exhibition presents 180 small bags made with rubber wetsuit materials and designed by 180 top Japanese and international designers, from young creators to leading professionals. Parts of the bags’ production process are performed by residents of temporary housing displaced by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Orders for the bags (¥5000 each) will be taken, with sales proceeds going to children affected by the disaster.

Held simultaneously at Creation Gallery G8.
