This event has ended.

Kohdai Deno is a young emerging artist, who has already begun to make a name for himself since making his debut last year in the exhibition “100 degrees Fahrenheit vol. 3″ held in CASHI in 2012, followed by his solo exhibition ULTRA005 presented at Spiral. His work is filled with the motifs of insects (mantis in particular), the cosmos, fantastic girls and other wildlife, creating delicate images with ink and crow quill, upon commonplace materials of cardboard and envelopes. The surfaces of his works are dense galaxies of minute detail peppered with insect wings, nebulous formations and cell-like images through which the mysterious character “Princess Hitomi” is free to roam.
In this exhibition, Deno presents a collection of old and new works of varying scales which provide the sense of looking through a microscope.
