Tokuro Sakamoto takes a familiar landscape and touches it with a strangeness of somewhere beyond. His paintings reflect a refined composition, skyward trajectory, soft balance of color and clear cut form, a range of elements which create a sense of time coming to a stop and allowing us to quietly break away from the world of reality in a form of comforting distance.
