Every year a select number of upcoming graphic designers under the age of 39 participating in the “Graphic Design in Japan” event are presented with the “JAGDA Newcomer Award”. Since the establishment of this award in 1983, 92 graphic designers have received this award, coming to gain the attentions of the design and commercial fields and developing a practice to bring them to the forefront of this arena. In this year’s 31st volume of awards the 3 creatives Yoshihisa Tanaka, Atsushi Hirano, Yumiyo Miyata have been selected from over 204 artists to receive this title. This exhibition presents their awards winning works, along with recent productions, posters and other graphic work.
