Akira Yamaguchi (1969- ) lived in Kiryu, Gunma prefecture from the age of 3 until he graduated from high school. He is an outstanding contemporary artist who creates a world of free interplay and fusion between time and space, nature and artifice, with superb technique. This exhibition gives a broad overview of Yamaguchi’s major works of painting and sculpture as well as recent and previously unexhibited work characterized by humor and a critique.
