“Crystal Cage” Talk Session Vol. 3

Spiral
Finished

Artists

Fumiko Takahashi, Chihiro Minato, Takashi Hirade
The revolutionary Crystal Cage publishings, released for the first time last fall, are making waves by quietly overturning the conventional wisdom of the reading world. Featuring new works by writers and translators and research on authors, this series aims to nurture the roots of art and closely examine ideological movements.

The third series of talks welcomes Fumiko Takahashi, translator of Franz Marc’s “Letters From the War.” Takahashi will discuss the appeal of Marc’s depictions of animals. Part Two features author and photographer Chihiro Minato, who will talk about her book “Places and Books,” which explores animal imagery in cave drawings and ancient texts. Refreshments will be available at the Tokyo Family Restaurant and publications including a selection of secondhand books and a catalogue of valuable works by Tokyo Publishing House can be purchased at Sendagi Book Café Bousingot.
