Ryoji Ikeda
Ryoji Ikeda presents for the first time in Japan his new “Systematics” series featured last year at DHC/ART, with a series of light boxes formed from punch cards of the earliest computers and the rolls used in automated pianos, exhibited as if they were archaeological artifacts. The exhibition also includes a reinterpretation of the 2006 “Datamatics” series, converting mass data into color and monochrome microfilm, and again transformed into a light box which acts as an archive for a vast set of information.
